While people up north only worry about termites in the warm spring months, our native Desert Subterranean Termites are active 24/7, 365 days a year, deep in the soil beneath our homes. Because our ground never freezes, they never stop eating.

The Silent Destroyers

Subterranean termites live in massive colonies underground, sometimes containing hundreds of thousands of insects. They are blind and extremely sensitive to light and dry air. To reach the wood in your home, they build protective "mud tubes" from the dirt up your foundation walls.

Because they eat wood from the inside out, extensive structural damage can occur long before a homeowner ever realizes there is a problem.

Signs You Need an Inspection Immediately

Mud Tubes: Look for pencil-sized tubes of dried mud running up your concrete foundation, hanging from the ceiling in your garage, or coming out of drywall.
Swarmers after a Monsoon: Following heavy summer rains, termite colonies release winged "swarmers" to start new colonies. If you find dozens of discarded translucent wings on your windowsills or patio, a colony is very close by.
Hollow Wood: If you tap on your baseboards, door frames, or drywall and it sounds hollow or papery, termites may have hollowed it out.
Bubbling Paint: Often mistaken for water damage, termites feeding right behind the paint can cause it to bubble or peel.

Don't Try to DIY Termites
